Don't know about TV, they've never broadcast dodger games to the san joaquin valley on the dodger network in the 35+ years I've been a fan, though they are kind enough to black out the Internet feed to ensure I don't find some back way into watching games...

as far as radio, I have to turn it off after the third inning and I don't bother with road games anymore...I never thought the dodgers would have color commentator. I hate color commentators. It doesn't help that Steiner stinks in any role. Karros, Monday, Scully, Porter were all great on the radio as solocasters...I can't figure out why only scully kept that role...Monday + Steiner is the worst MLB tandem ever (yes, even worse than what the yankees, red sox, white sox, and cubs had...), especially when they start giggling at their nonsense

I have never heard of this museum, it's very sad that it isn't open to the public but more so that I missed the event honoring Jackie Robinson!!!
KTLA channel 5 covers everything LA...get their help. I would love to see this museum. Do the Dodgers, Lakers,Kings know about you? Get some help, they have $$$.

You're right on Don and it really could help the new Dodgers ownership positive karma if Ross was asked back into the family to broadcast. I wonder if Stan Kasten and the new crew even know who Ross is.

The Iranian official reason is lack of security. The unofficial reason is that the first meet was too friendly and some supporters in LA were going to use the empiral Iranian flag instead of that of the Islamic republic. The team handlers expected the US police to control the crowds to ensure no protest gestures such as waving the old Iranian flag.

Grew up in the 60's attended some Phillies game. Saw Allen hit a homer one handed into the left field bleachers. He was fooled on the pitch and just reached out and flicked his bat at the ball letting go with his right hand. The ball just floated as a low line drive right into the lower bleachers. Never thought it would reach the bleachers because it wasn't hit like a bullet, it just kept floating and carrying. That's how strong he was.

The Clippers were on two other channels. The Kings were on no other channels. The kings where in Sudden death Overtime. The Clippers were starting their game. What is so hard in deciding to delay the Clippers game? It really sucked for me as a Hockey fan and a Kings fan. No respect...this is like the Raider game cut away to show some movie. The Kings need their own network with their announcers. We missed all of the ten minutes between the periods. Bob Miller and Jimmy Fox must have felt like real dorks. Fox Sports Network ruin an exciting time for hockey enthusiasts.

Bob Miller might be in the Hockey HOF as a broadcaster but it was Roy Storey who lit the imaginations of thousands of kids who still love hockey today in So Cal and remember with fondness his trademark: SHOT ON GOAL save Rogatien Vaaaaachon! RIP and God bless Roy. My brothers and I miss you.

An excellent, absorbing read that can be savored slowly, out of order, as the reviewer suggests, or studied as a single, sweeping evocation of a time and a place, the pressbox of the recent past, that literally shaped the way we view modern baseball and ourselves. Tom, I don't know what other books you are going to showcase, but if you want to read the best baseball novel ever, find "If I Never Get Back" by Darrell Brock. Amazon writes, "Contemporary reporter Sam Fowler, stuck in a dull job and a failing
